    The Chorale will be touring the northeast from January 2nd through the 9th, 2015. In addition to their invitation to sing in the Washington National Cathedral, the Chorale will sing concerts in Williamsburg, VA, in historic Bruton Parish Church, and in venues in Pennsylvania and New York.   • Lessons & Carols with the Chorale

    One of the most beautiful events of the season is the traditional Vespers service of Lessons and Carols at Davidson College Presbyterian Church. Vespers has been a Davidson College tradition for many, many years, and it is a highlight of the choral year! Join the Davidson College Chorale this Sunday night at 7:30 PM for music that includes works by composers Arvo Pärt, Vaclav Nelhybel, Elisabeth Poston, Randall Thompson, Richard Elliott, Mack Wilberg, and more!

    Davidson Choirs are looking forward to another fabulous collaboration with the Symphony Orchestra, Jazz Band, Dance Davidson, Davidson Community Players, and Young Voices of the Carolinas for our second annual Holiday Gala! Hundreds of tickets have already been sold...don't miss out on your opportunity to enjoy the best of talent that Davidson has to offer performing new and traditional holiday favorites that will be fun for the whole family!

    UPDATE: The choirs enjoyed singing the Messiah to a SOLD OUT house! Even more exciting, most of the audience remained the entire time--with the oratorio ending (including intermission and tuning breaks!) around 10:30pm. The audience was enthusiastic, giving the Choirs, NCBO, and soloists a rousing standing ovation!

    Join the Davidson College Chorale at their season premier this Friday, October 17th at 7:30 PM in Davidson College Presbyterian Church! "A Jubilant Song" will feature works by Norman Dello Joio, Jake Runestad, Jean Berger, Eric Barnum, Moses Hogan, and more! Several of the pieces on this concert will feature our new Artist-Associate Accompanist, Dr. David Gilliland. Don't miss this exciting concert!

    Join us this Friday, May 9th, for Kantorei of Davdison's first concert! 
    Kantorei of Davidson is an extension of the Davidson College Choral Arts Society, its membership drawn from that community based ensemble. A new, semi-professional choir with members from the Lake Norman region and Charlotte, Kantorei is comprised of members who share a love of choral music and the discipline (and fun!) of the choral rehearsal process.

  • Collegium Musicum's First Madrigal Dinner A Success!
    On Friday, May 3, Collegium Musicum, the Music Department's student run choral ensemble, presented the first-ever Madrigal Dinner in the Davidson College Presbyterian Church Congregation House. The event was catered by student run P.S. Catering, and organized and directed by the members of Collegium. 
    Collegium Musicum is made of up of students who are active in the Choral area at Davidson, and they serve as section leaders in Davidson's top choral ensemble, Chorale.
